I'm talkin' about my Linux box. My computer froze up over the weekend...and I haven't been able to reboot since. Ouch. To think of all of the things I've lost:
- Quake installation
- Kernel tweaks to make Quake run better
- 2GB of Quake maps
- Quake configuration files
- All of my Girls Gone Wild mpegs
Plus, Skinny designed and implemented my backup and recovery system, so I'm sure I'll have no problems restoring my data.
Also lost --- your self-esteem. But that has nothing to do with your computer, now does it?
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm down, would anyone else like to kick me?
ReplyDeletewow, could you be any more geeky, i can picture you pushing up your taped up glasses and thanking god that skinny helped you with your back up files...LOSER!
ReplyDeleteWhen you're 16, you'll understand.
ReplyDeleteCrash is still garbage.
ReplyDeleteOf course it won, everyone who votes in h-wood was in it.
I can see the same themes and plot on TV. Turn on FX and watch "The Shield" or HBO's "The Wire". They are better written and more compeling. Why give an award to Crash when cable does a better job telling this story than the movies.
This is in no way an endorsement of Brokeback Mountain. No, best picture should have went to the 40 Year Old Virgin.
PSH should not have won for Capote. I hope no one ever goes to see this disaster of a movie. Give it to Steve Carell.
Why all this <3 for 40YOV? The return of the "R" rated comedy. It wasn't gross-out, it wasn't vulgar, but it was sweet and funny.
Why did Crash win? Because it was the best? Hardly:
ReplyDeleteProduction Budget: $6.5 million
Lifetime Domestic Gross: $53 million
Oscar Promotion Expenses: $4 million

I'll still take the point.
